Mission

The mission our church is based upon the Great Commandments (Mat. 22:37-38) and the Great Commission (Mat. 28:18-20). In these verses Jesus commanded His church to be all about three priority relationships. First, He commanded us to actively engage in a loving relationship with God. Second, He commanded us to actively engage in loving relationships with those in our church (John 13:35). Third, He commanded us to actively engage in loving relationships with those we know who do not yet know Him so they will eventually enter into a loving relationship with Him. These three relationships can be understood by four priorities we have established as a church. They are spelled out in the acrostic: WIFE. They are our reasons for being. There are many good things we could do, but these are the essentials by which we evaluate our success.

Worship: coming together to express our love for God.

Instruction: learning who God is and how to please Him.

Fellowship: actively engaging in loving relationships with others at NKBC.

Evangelism: actively engaging in loving relationships with those who do not yet know God so they will eventually enter into a loving relationship with Him.
